Do you control what you consume onlineā
I do.
Through notifications.
I turn them off. 90% of them are useless anyway.
Such as:
š« Only 5 seats left, register for the webinar (Iām not even remotely interested in your webinar Karen)
š« 50% discount on your favourite collections (come on, we know thatās a lie)
š« Someone liked/loved/commented on your post (so what? Iāll know it when I open the app)
Notifications like these can eat up your time before you realize it.
While you will come across so-called hacks to delete those apps, or do a detox blah blah.
I present to you, a better alternative:
1ļøā£ The first step to avoid such notifications, is to turn them off. Itās not rocket science.
That smartphone you have is much smarter than you probably know. So use it to save your time and energy. ā³
2ļøā£ The second step is to be careful while giving out your email id or mobile number to random websites. They use your data and sell it to companies.
Sounds shady? then stop trusting every website.
3ļøā£ Third: block, block and block the sender. Thatās it.
It takes only little effort to control what you see on a daily basis.šÆ
Yet we end up blaming our mobile phones. Donāt we? š
So.. what have you been doing?
Complaining or controllingā
